The figures come out, and Oracle announced a net profit up 35% to 1.03 billion for its third quarter compared to last year (for a 27% increase in revenue to 4.41 billion dollars). These results have exceeded expectations of analysts and Oracle. While at the same time, SAP announced a net profit down 16% to 204 million for its first quarter compared to last year (for a 3% drop in revenue to 2.4 billion euros). This decrease is mainly due to falling sales of software by 33% to 418 million euros.
